MY GRADING SYSTEM:
(the grading results pro vinyl are a mix between audible test and visual
impression)
-VINYL-
M = mint:
-unplayed & maybe sealed, absolutely flawless, you will never find a better-
M- (also: NM) = mint minus:
-looks like only a few times played, vinyl and label nearly flawless, may have a
few small
light scuffs, or hairline scuffs, or a few light sleeve marks, or one surface
mark or scratch
that do not affect play, near clean copy-
VG++ = Very Good ++:
-like a M- copy with the exception of 1 or 2 visible minor flaws-
VG+ (also: EX) = very good+:
-hairline scuffs, litte less sound quality, slight wear,gloss vinyl with a few
minor surface
or sleeve marks; possibly one or a couple small, light scuffs or scratches if
basically
inaudible-
VG = very good:
-good playable, noticable marks & scuffs, maybe a few minor scratches, has been
played many
times, maybe a little bit unmentioned surface noise, light scuffs, sleeve marks
and hairline
scratches, record is well used-
VG- = very good-:
-record is well used, hairline scuffs, marks, etc., slight surface noise is
noticable but not
overwhelming, vinyl is shiny or very shiny, has a few light scuffs, surface
marks and/or small
scratches, plus some sleeve marks and hairline scratches-
G+ = good+:
-same flaws like the VG minus’, but more and/or stronger, maybe a lot of
hairline scuffs and
marks, surface noise, etc., but still playable (no skips, jumps, etc.), still
good for jukebox-
-COVER-
M = mint:
-no flaws, visibly perfect, no wrinkles, unused and/or sealed-
M- (also: NM) = mint-:
-only minor flaws, only a hint of ring wear through vinyl, maybe unmentioned
wrinkles, no
tears along the top-
VG+ (also: EX) = very good+:
-still a nice cover to look at, maybe has some paleness and a little wear, maybe
a few little
tears along the top, maybe a few little drops and wrinkles, maybe writing on
cover,…-
VG = very good:
-in my opinion this is a misnomer and is generally an abused grade, my vg’s are
definitively
used and shows wear, a mix of wrinkles, little tears along the top, ring wear
from vinyl,
paleness, maybe drops, a big job to list all flaws…-
VG- = very good- & more worse:
-the same flaws as the vg’s, but more worse, at this grade (including the “vg-“
i make no
determination, i only sign the condition as „under vg)-

-ein paar mal abgespielt, fast fehlerloses Vinyl und Label, minimale Abnutzungen
vom Cover,
oder ein paar kleine Haarlinienkratzer, oder kleine Kratzer vom Cover, und/oder
ein schlecht
geklebtes Label, oder ein gebohrtes Loch im Label,...-
VG++ = very good++ :
-die gleichen Fehler wie bei Mint minus, bis auf einen gröberen Fehler, wie z.
B. eine auf-
fälligere Markierung/ ein, zwei auffälligere Oberflächenkratzer, etc...
VG+ (auch: EX) = very good+ :
-Haarlinienkratzer, ein klein wenig eingeschränkte Soundqualität, schwache
Abnutzung, evtl.
Oberflächenkratzer, die unbedeutend sind, evtl. kleine Markierungen, ...-
VG = very good :
-noch gut abspielbare Kopie, hat Markierungen, Oberflächenkratzer,
Haarliniekratzer, etc.,
gute Abnutzung, wurde oft gespielt, evtl. unbedeutende Oberflächengeräusche,...-
VG- = very good- :
-abgenutzte Kopie, zu bemerkende Oberflächengeräusche, evtl. Markierungen,
Oberflächenkratzer,
Haarlinienkratzer, Kratzer vom Cover & Handling,...-
G+ = good+ :
-die gleichen Fehler wie bei vg-, bloß vermehrt und/oder stärker, außerdem mit
eindeutigen
Nebengeräuschen, absolut noch spielbar aber häßlich, z.B. für die Jukebox (keine
Sprünge o.ä.)-
Cover:
M = mint :
-keine Fehler, sichtbar perfekt, keine Knicke, unbenutzt und/oder versiegelt-
M- (auch: NM) = mint- :
-nur geringfügige Fehler, nur ein Hauch von Ring-Abnutzung durch das Vinyl oder
von unbe-
deutende Knicken, keine Risse entlang der Oberseite-
VG+ (auch: EX) = very good+ :
-noch ansehnliches Cover, evtl. aber etwas blaß und geringe Abnutzung, evtl.
kleine Risse
an der Oberseite, evtl. mehrere kleine, wenige Knicke, evtl. kleine Schrift auf
dem Cover-
VG = very good :
-eigentlich eine falsche Bezeichnung und ein missbrauchter Grad, meine VG-Cover
sind
definitiv abgenutzt und gebraucht, ein mix aus Knicken, kleinen Rissen an der
Oberseite,
Ring-Abnutzung vom Vinyl, blaß und evtl. Tropen, etc..., mühsam die ganzen
Fehler
aufzuführen-
VG- = very good- & schlechter :
-die gleichen Fehler, wie bei VG, bloß in schlechteren Zustand, ab diesem Grad
(inklusive
der „vg-“) lege ich mich nicht mehr auf einen einzelnen Grad fest, sondern
kennzeichne nur
noch mit „under vg“-
